I work as a consultant for one of the big 5 firms implementing SAP applications. What is the job code referenced for this job? I want to know the job category it falls under as per the Dictionary of Occupation Title or the O*Net published by DOL. My company did not provide me this information but any help will be greatly appreciated.

In NYC (if it's closer for you) consulate you get the renewed/New Passport back on same day. I renewed my Kids passports there got back on same day.
For myself, I renewed in SFO back in 2001 and got them back in 5-7 days.
Hope this helps you make your decision.

Just for a change in topic, do you guys to know good Life insurance company who do not show prejudice between greencard holder and H-1B Holder.
I just got life insurance through select quote, west coast which coast only 22$ for � million insurance rejected me stating that there is a difference rate of green card holder and Alien.
I got through Prudential which is costing me 50$.
Any experience with you folks
That makes sense. A typical H1B has more things to worry about (maintaining status, keeping job, GC, dealing with rogue employers, attorneys, physicians...) and lower life expectancy :D

My Receipt Date is Sept 18th. I changed address before I got my receipt.
For address change,
1) On Sept 25th, I filed AR-11 online, then as a chain, modified the addresses on all my pending applications. I got letter confirmations. This happened in Sept.
2) I also called them in Nov to raise a SR since I did not receive the FP notices. In the SR, I again gave my new address.
3) Then today I got the status changed as Notice Returned as Undeliverable.
4) I called USCIS first thing in the morning and again raised a SR
5) I also took an Infopass to meet field office folks and ask for help
All this I did to my spouse also.

my lawyer missed the 2nd july deadline even when he had all the papers. Now i am asking him to meet 30th july deadline he is not responding . what are the papers needed to file I485. Can I file it without lawyers help? He does have my immunization papers

I dont have any changes to status when I check my 485 case status online but today in the mail i received I797c notice welcoming me as a premenant residence. I am a bit hesitant to celebrate, but am I seeing green?:o

It turned out, she actually had two 485 receipt notices..each with a different notice no. I was all the time checking her 485 status using the older receipt number, until, when we got the welcome notice. I called my attorney to seek an explanation and he told me to make sure, I was checking the latest receipt no. Once I checked the correct receipt no., the status had properly updated on the correct receipt no.

I am a physician MD currently doing IM residency on H1B. i have a job to start from oct 2007. since PDS for india are now current, i would like to know if my employer can file PERM for a prospective employee now in june. my univerdity lawyer is not clear or rather not willing to file.

You are not the only one to get that message. Info pass appointments are tough to get now. Check during odd hours. I finally found one after hours. ASC's are NOT the same as Field offices. Also Some Field offices require you to show the corresponding state drivers license.
Since my current EAD is expiring Sep 10th, I'm planning to go to the local USCIS office for an interim EAD in first week of Sep.
What is the procedure, do i need to take infopass or any other apoointment or just walk in with papers ?
It's not yet been 90 days since i filed, but i still want to give it a shot. I plan to take a letter from my employer saying without interim EAD (without me being able to work) company would face a setback in a critical phase of project.
I also plan to use such a letter in support of an expedite request.
Gurus please advice:
- How soon should I fax expedite request?
- How soon/late should i go to local USCIS office for interim EAD?
- Could one interfere the other?

When i said i used AC-21, i meant i changed my employer after 180 days and had used EAD. Yes i have sent USCIS my paperwork, when i switched employers.
I dont think filling AC-21 paperwork matters in case of the VISA. I never sent my Dad any documents or proof showing that i had sent USCIS the papers for AC-21. Also, i have used AP at that time.

I don't think this will jeopardize their cash flow. Surely they will charge 3 times more for a 3 year renewal. It will just make life easier for us and them.
And then I will complain about having to spend for a 3 year renewal when I 'expect' to get my GC within a few months.

I was able to get copies of all the documents (labor,140 and 485) from the attorney. Is it mandatory to file AC21? When I asked my attorney the fee to file AC21, he said it is $750 to $1500. What is the normal fee for AC21?
Also, the job description says 'VB .Net' but the new job is in C#. Does it make any difference?
