Everyone:
This was a GREAT week for all of us. Past three days have changed our discussion topics and we're now more concerned about doctor appointments and certificates. That is a good thing to talk about indeed. But lets not forget this battle goes on and we all need to be together in this journey. No one knows where one will be stuck!! So please continue working with IV agenda and contribute in anyways possible.
New members, please contribute considering the help you're getting from this IV forum. Remember IV needs money to support all of us. We're using so much IV resource and its our duty that we must suport IV.

From the information I can gather, all medical professionals say that the tetanus vaccination is safe. However I am hugely opposed to vaccinations ever since I had a hideous reaction to a flu shot, but I'm opposed to vaccines especially in pregnancy and USCIS will not accept me not having the tetanus vaccine. Our immigration doctor said I have no choice. I also don't like the mercury and formaldehyde that they put in vaccines and the fact they say it "won't hurt" my baby doesn't go well with me at all. It's interesting how the medical community says "sure, have the shot" yet people in other forums that I've seen say "don't do it!!"

mine went to texas too...since every single petition, opt ead, h1bs, I-140, etc were from tsc. i am assuming it was cos my address was in GA and my 485 based A# was also from TSC.
i am already done with my biometrics in sept so i m hoping for a quick turnaround too.

From this link it's sure Obama is going to get CIR taken care of.All those undocumented workers ,who he is so sweetly saying should get into the the end of the line after paying fine ,now will they effect our long queues in anyway?(like the amnesty people did to EB3 in 2000)
He is not talking about GC's ,though he did skirt around H1B. I'm not able to figure out if this article holds any good new for us .

I feel he will not ignore legal immigrants. There will be action for sure, as it appears. We should take this as positive when he says +ve about H1B. If he said something bad, then thats bad also for others.

Hi,
Although my EAD has been approved long back, I haven't actually received the actual EAD card in hand because of an address related glitch. It is said they will re-send, but the delay is unbelievable. I have the A# from other correspondences.
Under the circumstances, can I apply for a AC21.

Hi there,
Besides my lawyer. When I went to Info Pass they told me the same thing I can't file for the I485 untill the I130 is approved because I was in removal proceedings when we got married. Info pass also said that I130 in removal proceedings is handeled differenty. I don't have a work permit or social yet since i can't file for I485.

Hi,
I want to apply for an H-1 this year. Actually I have a F-1 under OPT. I couldn't find an employer yet but hope get one soon.
I have some questions that I hope some of you could help me out with them.
- Should I hire an attorney to help me tru all the process or can I do it by myself? What you would recommend from your experience?
- How much are the attorney's fees and where can I find a good lawer?

I am currently on EAD from 485 application (no H1b)..My 485 is applied in eb3 category. Also i-140 is approved.. I have moved to a new position in the same compnay where the job duties are 50% different from the earlier position.The Position also entitles me to start another Green card application under EB2. My QUestion is
Is it possible to apply for another GC in Eb2 and use the EAd status from the Eb3 application? Since I do not have
an h1b my only valid status in US is EAD and 485 from the Eb3 application

Because you are not currently invalid non-immigrant status, you are not entitled to a change of status to H-1. But, once an H-1 petition is approved on your behalf, you can leave the US, obtain an H-1 visa stamp in your passport and then return to the US using that visa. Unless your employer is exempt from the H-1 cap, the earliest you could do this would be Oct. 2010.
As long as you remain legally married you are entitled to the EAD, and you can maintain both documents. However, if you work for another employer using your EAD you will violate your H-1 status.

I filed my I-102 to receive an I-94, ill update this when I hear back from them.
When I receive the receipt, could I use that for the RFE? I don't think i'll have my I-94 to give to them in the 80 days I have left?

That's not completely true. There are improvements in UCIS processing. If you check H1 or I-140 processing time 2 years back , it was much worse then. I dont think USCIS processing time is a problem for us right now. Of course it would be nice to have faster service for H1 and I-140 or 485.

2. We applied for a change of address in May/2009 and received acknowledgement from USCIS in June/2009 - for all three of us.
3. My son's RFE response acknowledgement dated July/2009.
Please help me to figure out LUD for our applications.
