I don't. Well, if they would make most other apps follow the same look (pioneered by Mail.app) then I wouldn't mind it too much. The number of distinct interface styles is getting to be absurd. :rolleyes: Thank goodness for UNO (http://gui.interacto.net/index.php?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=1).

Wrong. Of course, sequestered in your teaching post-graduate architectural world you may not see the wood for the trees and in the readily-accepted use of the word, 'creatives' do not include those who use AutoCAD.

Disappointing, but expected. This actually brings up more questions than answers though:
1) Is this a permanent move to a Fall Release of the iPhone?
2) When, if ever, are they going to unite the CDMA and GSM iPhone releases (possibly in iPhone 5 with "World Chip")?
3) Does this affect the timing of iOS's release, which has traditionally been released with the new iPhone and has been centered around the iPhone's hardware?
4) The iPod touch has traditionally been released months after the iPhone. If the iPhone is released around Sept, will they release the iPod touch along with it?
Meh, I don't have an upgrade for 1.5 years, so it doesn't matter to me. But still interesting.
Also, would they be pushing it back for a possible 4G capable iPhone?
And I would bet anything they will have white and black from day 1.

It's a platform war, but not in the way that a lot of people think it is. Developers are making a lot more money on iOS because it has a lot more users and those users tend to buy things. Therefore, those users are going to get the developers' attention first.
It's better than that. Android customers seem like cheapskates by comparison, and far less profitable to target by most developers. With that kind of tilted revenue incentive for mobile app developers moving to iOS, how is the Android platform going to keep up?

Weird, I just checked the apple store for any product updates, and sure enough there was the mighty mouse on display with the caption, "the mighty mouse has lost its tail" or something along those lines. Was going to report it, but when I went to provide the link, it was GONE. Anyway, a release is probably imminent.
Oh and for those worried about the price, it was priced at $69.

I don't care much for a bluetoothed version of this P.O.S.
At the moment the Mighty mouse has heaps of potential to be a great mouse if only Apple fixes the current issues it encounters such as sometimes not being able to scroll downwards, erratically activating expose (side buttons) when I don't even have my fingers near there and other few quirks....
Now if its going to be bluethooth, it'll be harder to tell whether its the mouse or the bluetooth faulting.

And agree with Chundles that until we see ALL of Leopard's features listed, there's no way you can make a valid purchase decision on it.
Understand, I am not suggesting how you should spend your money. This is just another opinion. But, I have been through all the 'cats' from the .0 release on. I have never had reason to complain.
Apple may not be perfect, but they sure beat the pants off Brand X. I have been working in IT since 1981. I have spent the vast majority of time with Workstations and PC's. These include every incarnation of DOS and Windows, SPARC/Sun, SGI/MIPS, OS/2, and the IBM RS-6000 Series. I am a late arrival to Apple/Macs. In fact, it was somewhat by accident. But, I am now convinced OSX is the finest desktop OS ever made. Until this no longer the case, I will throw my support fully behind the most innovative HW/SW manufacturer in the world. I would gladly pay full price for a beta copy of Leopard right now.

I heard some radio jocks this morning say that they think this whole Charlie Sheen thing is a bit. Kinda like the whole Joaquin Phoenix thing or a radio shock jock who just goes way over the top. Of course the partying and lifestyle is real, but they were talking about this present media tour and the crazy talk he's spouting. It all equals more publicity for him, the network, and the show.
After thinking about it this explanation sounds pretty reasonable. If it's not that, then as many have said he's had a break with reality of some sort and the eventual end is not going to be pretty.
I watched the Piers Morgan interview......I still think he's ****ing with people.
I've met a bunch of Hollywood types, and for some of them, their reality is not the same as our reality.
