*cough* TFT Panels?!! Didn't iMac's always have an IPS Panel?
TN and IPS are both TFT. Apple will still be using IPS panels on the iMacs.

Usually, when a new technology comes out from Apple like Thunderbolt, (mini display port in look a like), I usually think "Why would other "non" Apple manufactures like WD, Promise etc... adopt Thunderbolt? as USB 3.0 or eSATA is their bracket... where as Apple likes to keep to themselves only tailoring to their own devices (eg. using WDS (or extenting wireless via Airport Express), for example. is not possible unless you have Time Capsule (Apple) )
I guess I was wrong when I saw this one on MacRumors.

That's the funny thing, though. You're not locked into DRM with the iPod. You don't need an iTMS to use your iPod, just iTunes. It plays standard MP3 files and non-DRM'ed AAC files.
If you want to buy music online, you ARE locked into to DRM. Which is what people hate about the iPod/iTMS model.
If you have your own MP3's great. In that regard MS and Apple will be the same. Apple does however offer an end to end solution. That is what MS wants. They don't want to just have a player. THey want to offer music for download online, and with your purchase you get a full slab of DRM.
So no, it is not the funny thing. Unless MS starts wrapping DRM into your ripped collection. There is no advantage to buying an iPod over a Zune. Which is bad for MS because there is already tons millions if iPod users to sway.
I don't think they will get them with the, share files over WiFi but I guess they could...

OK, guys, I think you are right, touch screens are not the most desirable thing to see in an iMac, although I am sure they will implement it sooner or later, because it has an appeal nowadays to many customers - and its up to you if you use it or not. Time will answer this question.
But... what do you think about higher resolution screens? Specially for the 21,5 iMac. I currently own a notebook with 15.4 screen that has exactly the same amount of pixels of a 21.5 iMac (1920x1080). When I use the 21.5 iMac, the large pixel size bother me, while at the notebook pixels are almost invisible, and its a great pleasure to use it.

seriously? so does Apple, where's your outrage?
how much is OSX again? maybe it would just be easier if you listed all the Apple software that is priced around $1.10
How much is Windows Ultimate??? $320. How much is OSX? $129 for the boxed set that includes Snow Leopard, iLife and iWork. Which is the better deal? OSX hands down, because I can still run that on my 5 year old machine. Can't say that for Windows.
On the Android side, how many Android phones that are selling now as new are running the latest version of Android?

I believe that there has to be a "cooling off period" - at least here in the UK - after making a purchase at which point you are entitled by law to return the product. Normally that period is 7-14 days but individual stores may be even more lenient than that.
That would be a problem for the iPod touch apps that tell you the secret for doing a magic trick. More seriously, there are a lot of apps you might use on a vacation, e.g. finding restaurants or transportation or people in another city. It wouldn't be fair to their developers if you could buy their app, take it on vacation, then return it when you get home in a week or two.
Perhaps return policies should be based on how many times you launch the app, not on elapsed time. You could return any unused or one-launched app for a full refund within a certain number of days, assuming the iPod touch could keep track of that.

But it gets better. To attract current iPod users Microsoft is going to let you download for free any songs you've already bought from the iTunes Music Store. They'll actually scan iTunes for purchased tracks and then automatically add those to your account. Microsoft will still have to pay the rights-holders for the songs, but they believe it'll be worth it to acquire converts to their new player.
If this is true, it will allow those considering a switch to be a no brainer.
Good marketing for Microsoft.
YAH !!! Great JOBs MS between their new music store, hemorrhaging Box, and brilliant marketing of constantly diluting their installed base with new solutions that don't solve anything and overpriced licensing they will be in the poor house in no time.
Remember when DELL was a big company, they will simply fade away with a whimper just like DELL did !!!

Well said, fan boys are incredibly entertaining.
Only in an Apple forum do they take things so seriously.
Labeling others and calling names, its so hilarious.
How quickly they forget its just a phone.

I would agree, Apple is on a crest...and the only way is down.
This is a ridiculous assessment, based on nothing. Apple now has three growth businesses from which to build, and potentially a fourth. Hardly a company on earth would not envy Apple's potential.

I really don't see them adding the dual core chip to the iPhone or the iPod Touch, maybe an increase in processor speed but I think the more powerful processor is going to be reserved for the iPad now.
The A5 is coming. It has too. Too many dual core phones coming out.
